چکیده

The last decade has witnessed significant advances in energy harvesting technology for the realization of self-charging electronics and self-powered wireless sensor nodes (WSNs). To conquer energy-insufficiency issue a single harvester, hybrid systems have been proposed recent years. Hybrid includes not only scavenging from multiple sources, but also converting into electricity by types transduction mechanisms. A reasonable hybridization conversion mechanisms improves space utilization efficiency can boost power output significantly. Given continuously growing trend technology, herein we present comprehensive review progress representative works, especially focusing on vibrational thermal harvesters which play dominant role harvesting. working principles typical configurations piezoelectric, electromagnetic, triboelectric, thermoelectric pyroelectric effects are briefly introduced. On this basis, variety systems, including mechanisms, configurations, performance advantages, elaborated. Comparisons perspectives effectiveness provided. potential application prospects discussed, infrastructure health monitoring, industry condition smart transportation, human healthcare marine monitoring aerospace engineering, towards future Internet-of-Things (IoT) era.

Optimal Design of Piezoelectric Materials for Maximal Energy Harvesting

The military’s dependence on fossil fuels for electric power production in isolated settings is both logistically and monetarily expensive. Currently, the Department of Defense is actively seeking alternative methods to produce electricity, thus decreasing dependence on fossil fuels and increasing combat power. We believe piezoelectric generators have the ability to contribute to military appli...

Development of a mathematical model to design an offshore wind and wave hybrid energy system

Fossil Fuels are always considered as environmental pollutants. On the other hand, the political and economic situations highly affect the price of these fuels. Offshore wind and wave, as renewable energy sources, represent the better alternatives for electricity generation. Therefore, it is necessary that wind speeds effectively be estimated due to the absence of field measurements of the wind...

Ambient RF Energy Harvesting Technology and its Applications

— This paper is focused on equipping wireless devices (including sensors) with novel, high efficiency circuitry to harvest and convert ambient RF power to direct current (dc). Key components of this technology are (a) miniaturized antenna and (b) high efficiency rectifying circuit. The first is responsible for capturing the RF waves, and the latter coverts the RF energy to dc. A major challenge...
